I have had the privilege of following Krzysztof Wodiczko for several years and witnessed first-hand how immigrants, unhoused people, veterans, and others suffering from PTSD use his projects for different purposes. As an artist, I was so amazed when I saw how people were able to use projects as a healing tool. I can attest that they actually benefited greatly from the process – in fact, I would say that the process itself was the most important aspect for them. The other thing that was important was what the audience was likeEvery country I've traveled to places a strong emphasis on monuments that speak. Wodiczko's special ability is his ability to hold people's attention for a long time with his predictions. They are actually quite mesmerizing and profound. For me, there are not many artists in the field of social practice.
