For what it's worth, this isn't an original story but it's designed to be one, at least for the main lead. After graduation, Jaime Reyes returns to his family, which is on the verge of bankruptcy and about to lose its home. Desperate to save the house, he searches for a job and lands in Kord Tower, after an invitation from Jenny Kord. Meanwhile, Victoria Kord, CEO of Kord Industries, is a greedy woman who wants to control an alien species of scarab due to her technological power, to create a deadly weapon. Jenny's attempt to steal this scarab results in Jaime obtaining it and eventually becoming the host. What follows is Jaime realizing his purpose and confessing his connection to the scarab.Blue Beetle clearly arrived a decade late, which also works to its advantage. There is no pressure to build/add to the DC universe. All you aim for is to be a simple, fun, silly artist, going over the top at every opportunity and still succeeding in entertaining. This is simply not the kind of film one should take seriously. The humor is hit and miss, and thankfully the emotions work well. The Latino hero leaves a lasting impression. There's not much about the Scarab, so the film focuses squarely on Reyes becoming the new Blue Beetle while casually ignoring the fact that there have been others before.Susan Sarandon's Victoria isn't evil enough, while her special weapon, the Carapax, isn't threatening enough and is barely usable. What works is the goofiness of the Reyes family and just the right dose of father-son dynamic, because what's a DC superhero without that? The action scenes are generic and like I said, the movie still provides basic harmless entertainment. The post-credit scene sets it up for a standalone sequel without burdening itself with being part of the DCU's planned future. To watch the full movie from this link http://adfoc.us/83634197777893
