Xu Chaoyan and Pei Songnian were childhood sweethearts, but their relationship was marred by Pei's emotional affair with a junior student in college. Although he chose to cut ties with the other woman to marry Xu Chaoyan, on their third wedding anniversary, Xu Chaoyan discovers a text from the junior asking to see him one last time before her own wedding. Seeing her husband rush out to meet her without hesitation, Xu Chaoyan’s heart finally dies. Realizing their three-year marriage was a lie, she decides to divorce him and, fifteen days later, boards a plane to leave the country and Pei Songnian behind forever.
