Tell Me About Yourself: Answer in 3 Parts

Tell me about yourself? Answer it in three parts: your present role, one real example from your past, and why this role is the next step. Tell me about yourself needs a clear summary in three parts: your present role, one real example from your past, and why this role is the next step. Key points: - Check five: start with now. Name your present role and the work it covers, in one clear line. - Check four: add relevant past work. Use one real example from your past, from work, study or volunteering. - Check three: say why this role. Finish with why this job is the next step, and link your answer to the advert. - Check two: hear the shape. The example is a model only — change every detail so your answer is true for you. - Check one: practise out loud. Do not learn it word for word. Leave out your life story. Keep it short and true. - STAR method: Situation, Task, Action, Result. Keep examples short and conversational, not rehearsed.
