From January 2028 Sony stops releasing discs for all new PlayStation games — an official statement from the PlayStation Blog. A disc could be resold, lent to a friend and left to your kids. Steam's subscriber agreement says it plainly: content is licensed, not sold. Europe gathered 1,294,188 signatures for the "Stop Destroying Videogames" initiative, and on 16 June 2026 the European Commission replied it would not force publishers. Ownership survives only where there is no DRM — that is GOG. Russian audio, tech channel from Europe.
