The internet tried to save this grandpa’s birthday. But it didn’t go as planned.
Bill was a World War II veteran about to turn 90. A flier appeared in his hometown asking people to join the celebration.
Someone posted it on 4chan. And the internet lost its mind. A war hero alone on his birthday? Not on their watch! Strangers rallied for Operation Birthday Boy. Some even started driving over.
But then...PLOT TWIST! Bill's own family made that flier. It was meant for locals only. Bill was beloved in town and the hall was already going to be packed.
So his grandson posted a plea. Please, do not come.
