This is part two of our investigation into Jakub Jahl, the blogger some call 'the Czech Epstein.' We resume after the Tanzanian children's testimonies to examine the surprising political and media support he has received.
Before Africa, Jahl had a controversial history: vandalizing the 'Thank You, America!' memorial, organizing anti-US protests, facing links to a fake bomb threat, harassing politicians, losing three lawsuits, and being deemed an unreliable witness by a forensic psychologist. Yet, when testimonies of abuse and exploitation from children and adults in Tanzania emerged, influential figures defended him.
The then-Czech Interior Minister dismissed the allegations as a smear campaign. Simultaneously, lawmakers and journalists tied to major investigative networks altered the narrative, completely omitting the affected minors' statements.
Following the money and political ties, we found a book about his travels was partially funded by Czech Pirate Party members, with links to a current MEP. A Pirate Party representative traveled with Jahl and was seen with children later reported missing. Furthermore, an unusual parliamentary event defending Jahl brought foreign intelligence services into the Czech Parliament, sparking public backlash.
Jahl's timeline is also telling: his campaign against the ALLATRA organization began weeks after Russia labeled it 'undesirable.' He echoed Alexander Dvorkin, a Russian anti-cult activist whose organization (RACIRS) is tied to Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).
