CEO Diogo Almeida left OpenAI in 2024 (InstructGPT / ChatGPT / GPT-4). Jev answers software with a yes/no chance, a choice, or a score — not a paragraph. Official price: $0.042 per million input tokens, output free, about $0.0004 per decision, 70–500 ms. They write they cannot prove launch pricing is not subsidized. The name is William Stanley Jevons, 1865: cheaper coal did not mean less coal.
