This anime-style video follows the journey of Fang Yi, a transmigrator who becomes the local deity of Wuzhi Mountain. After serving faithfully for 500 years, he is betrayed, stripped of his merits, and dismissed by a corrupt mountain god (0:27-2:13).
Key plot developments include:
Awakening the Incense System: After his dismissal, Fang Yi activates the Incense God System. This allows him to convert incense into power and gain a 10,000-fold return on his cultivation when he shares his resources with his soldiers (2:23-4:13).
Building an Army: Fang Yi recruits his own force, starting with small skirmishes and escalating into battles against heavenly generals like Ju Lingshin and the Four Heavenly Kings (4:44-28:07).
Defying the Heavenly Order: Fang Yi eventually confronts the corrupt practices of the Heavenly Court and the Buddhist sect, aiming to protect humanity from exploitation. He fights for the people, brings rain during droughts, and saves children from fraudulent sects (42:04-1:23:45).
Rising in Power: As he accumulates more merit and incense, Fang Yi upgrades his treasures, such as the Human Emperor Banner and the Chaos Bell, eventually reaching the status of a Dalu Golden Immortal and challenging powerful entities like the Peacock Great Ming King and Buddha (1:30:22-1:49:15).
By the end of the current content, Fang Yi is actively working to recruit more powerful figures from the underworld to aid in his mission to protect humanity's destiny against the machinations of the heavens (1:52:21-1:53:34).
