The Sindh Bar Council, after thorough deliberation with representatives of bar associations from all over the province, unanimously passed a resolution rejecting all proposals related to the division of Sindh or any change in its territorial boundaries. In light of this historic resolution, a complete boycott of court proceedings was announced across Sindh. Lawyers from Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah and other districts responded to the call with full unity and determination.
In this video, you will see the real atmosphere of the strike. We recorded our protest to show solidarity with the legal fraternity and to raise our voice in support of Sindh’s indivisible unity. The lawyers made it clear that Sindh is not merely an administrative unit — it is a historical, cultural and civilizational entity that cannot be divided. From Mohenjo-daro to the Sufi traditions of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, Sachal Sarmast and Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, the land of Sindh has always stood as one.
The resolution of the Sindh Bar Council clearly stated that any move to create new provinces or alter the boundaries of Sindh is unacceptable and against the spirit of the Constitution of Pakistan. The legal community of Sindh has once again proven that it stands firmly for the protection of provincial autonomy, the rule of law, and the territorial integrity of Sindh.
