Live Forró Pé de Serra: the Accordion Trio That Powers a Brazilian Festival

Forró pé de serra is played by three instruments: accordion, zabumba drum and triangle. No backing track, no playback — the trio plays live for hours while the crowd dances. The colorful flags overhead are bandeirinhas, hung for São João, Brazil's biggest winter festival. This is the sound the Northeast dances to every June.
