Wild Woods First Look & Gameplay on the ROG Ally! I picked up Wild Woods while it was on sale for around $8 NZD and decided to give it a try. This is my first look at the game, and I have to say, I'm already pretty impressed! Wild Woods is a couch co-op roguelike action game where you play as a brave little cat defending a wooden wagon as you travel through a dangerous forest. You can play solo or with up to four players, fighting enemies, collecting resources and choosing different abilities and buffs as you progress. As a fan of games like Gunfire Reborn and Risk of Rain, the gameplay loop in Wild Woods is right up my alley. I'm playing entirely on the ASUS ROG Ally, and I did run into some frame-rate issues during the tutorial. Interestingly, the game felt noticeably smoother once I got into the actual gameplay. I also found the targeting and item placement a little awkward at times. It's important to remember that Wild Woods isn't a finished game yet, so some of these issues could potentially be fixed or improved before release. I haven't tried the co-op yet, but I'm waiting for my brother over at @OsidioGames to pick up the game so we can jump in together and see how Wild Woods plays with multiple players.
