Jab We Met (2007) is an iconic Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali.
The story kicks off when a heartbroken and dejected Aditya aimlessly boards a late-night train from Mumbai. He crosses paths with Geet, a relentless chatterbox heading home to Bhatinda. When Geet accidentally misses the train while trying to drag Aditya back on board, the two find themselves stranded. This triggers an unexpected road trip across North India. Geet's infectious zest for life helps Aditya heal and rediscover happiness. However, the dynamics completely flip in the second half when Geet faces severe heartbreak after being rejected by her boyfriend, Anshuman. This time, a transformed Aditya steps up to help her find her lost smile and sense of self.
