CLIK música presents the Dodecaphonic version of PROMPT: a bold piece merging atonal language with avant-garde electronics. The video is inspired by surrealism, an artistic movement contemporary to the early 20th-century dodecaphonism, creating a dreamlike and unsettling atmosphere in perfect harmony with the work’s nature.
What began as a simple game between producers Pedro Vidal and Manuel Fernández Llorente (winner of the 2009 Beatport Awards) evolved into a project that reconnects with the past. The “Broken Toy” idea was to take apart the elements of Pedro Vidal’s 1984 production “Horario Disco” and rebuild them from each producer’s personal perspective, free from any stylistic bias. The result was so surprising and fun that they decided to share the new works that emerged from this experiment.
The cover, featuring a black‑and‑white clock without hands, symbolizes time frozen and reactivated on the dance floor. The use of Roman numerals and a typeface inspired by ancient Greek reinforces the concept of a bridge between cultures, eras, and styles. Everything in Orario Disco radiates history, playfulness, and a contemporary touch.
