Overachieving London police sergeant Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is transferred to the quiet, seemingly crime-free village of Sandford. Partnered with the enthusiastic but inexperienced Danny Butterman (Nick Frost), Angel struggles with the slow pace of rural policing — until a series of grisly “accidents” convinces him that something sinister is going on. What follows is a brilliant action-comedy that perfectly blends buddy-cop tropes with British humour, directed by Edgar Wright.
