Dormitories is the second chapter of Half-Life: Induction. The mod is set before the Black Mesa Incident, exploring Dr. Gordon Freeman's day-to-day at the facility. This specific chapter introduces us to doctors Richard Keller and Arne Magnusson, as well as a cameo by baby Alyx Vance. Dr. Eli Vance takes Gordon around the Dormitories, eventually reaching Room 309. Meanwhile, Gordon makes some tasteful phone calls and rescues a scientist from the toilets.

Mod allows to look and take part at the events before Half-Life. You assume the role of Dr. Gordon Freeman. You will meet Kleiner, Vance, Barney, Rosenberg and other characters. Half-Life: Induction (also known as Half-Life 0: Induction and simply Induction) is a Russian made modification which takes place directly before the events of the original Half-Life and depicts the early hours of the day the Resonance Cascade occurred. The mod was released in 2009. Initially the modification's only language was in Russian, but when 1.3 was released in 2022, it contained English voice lines.
