The Paladin is one of the strongest classes in the Diablo 2 capable tearing through enemies with ease. But historically paladins didn’t do any of that. They weren’t magic-wielding warriors.
So I wanted to test something:
What would happen if you removed all the magic and tried to beat Diablo 2 as a historically accurate Paladin?
Along the way, we take a look at where the idea of the Paladin actually comes from, from ancient Rome, through Charlemagne, to the legends of The Song of Roland, and how that eventually turned into the fantasy class we know today.
