Once the ceremonial capital of the Persian Empire, Persepolis was a city of grand staircases, towering columns, royal halls, and carved reliefs showing tribute from across the ancient world. Then came conquest, fire, and ruin. This short imagines the fall of Persepolis through the eyes of a black cat walking through one of history’s greatest lost cities.
