"True Moon" is the eighth and final act of the "Song of the Welkin Moon" Archon Quest chapter in Genshin Impact . Released on January 14, 2026, as part of Version 6.3 "Luna IV," this quest serves as the climactic conclusion to the Nod-Krai storyline, following directly after Act VII, "A Traveler on a Winter's Night" .
The Archon Quest is divided into three subquests: "The First Sliver of Moonlight," where the Traveler and their allies formulate a plan involving the Three Moon Sisters to rescue Columbina ; "Descending Moon," which features the defense of Nasha Town against Il Dottore's forces and a climactic weekly boss battle against The Doctor, culminating in Sandrone's sacrifice to ensure Columbina's return ; and "Welkin Moon's Homecoming," the epilogue where players explore the newly formed moon, say farewell to companions, and receive the Traveler's new outfit, "As Heaven and Earth Are Made Anew" .
Completing the entire quest takes approximately 2 to 3 hours and permanently unlocks a new weekly Trounce Domain for Dottore .
