In the fifth and climactic act of the Nod-Krai Archon Quest chapter, the Traveler and Paimon find themselves with unexpected downtime as the region prepares for Moon-Prayer Night, the grandest festival in Nod-Krai. Originally celebrated by the Frostmoon Scions to honor the Moon Goddess, the festival now marks the Dameselette Columbina's final night before her planned return to the moon.
The act unfolds in two major sub-chapters:
"In the Shifting Light of the Moon" begins with the Traveler visiting Columbina at Silvermoon Hall, where she reveals her plan to use the peak of kuuvahki energy during Moon-Prayer Night to return to the moon. If she remains in Teyvat, she warns, she will eventually cease to exist entirely . Meanwhile, mysterious phantoms and mirages begin appearing across Nod-Krai—fragmented historical scenes from the Khaenri'ah Cataclysm and ancient Hyperborea. Durin, Albedo, Flins, Nefer, and Jahoda investigate separately, with Durin's group witnessing repeated historical tragedies that challenge his struggle with his Abyssal nature.
"Ripples That Will Never Reach" introduces a devastating crisis: when the Traveler returns to Silvermoon Hall, Columbina has vanished—not physically left, but begun fading out of existence. Alice, Klee's mother, makes her first physical in-game appearance alongside fellow Hexenzirkel witch Nicole Reeyn . They reveal the truth: Columbina is disappearing because she lacks a true name to anchor her existence. "Columbina" and "Kuutar" were never her real identity, and with no divine function or accepted name, the world itself is rejecting her. Without finding her true name, she will vanish completely before Moon-Prayer Night.
