This song was inspired by the piano song “Mariage D'Amour" - version Richard Clayderman.
The original piano piece is the young man’s blessing to the girl at her wedding. The memories he shares with her are nothing but his regrets, yet it is already too late. Those memories become like a bittersweet seasoning to his blessing, as he sincerely wishes her happiness for the rest of his life.
That’s how the original piano piece is often described, but personally, I don’t believe it that way. By common sense, the young man’s regret would outweigh his joy in giving blessings.
The song I created focuses more clearly on that inner perspective of regret. If someone loses another person for whatever reason, the feeling of regret would naturally be stronger than the desire to offer blessings. Wanting the girl to be happy is only natural, but there is no space left for himself — what he truly thinks, how he feels, and what decision he ultimately makes.
My song is simply meant to explore and add the missing emotional perspective that the original piece didn’t fully express.
