This morning we woke up to nearly one meter of snow covering the village.
My mother pulled wood from under the heavy snow and lit the wood stove to keep the house warm.
My sister climbed onto the roof to clear the snow so it wouldn’t collapse.
I cut fresh meat and started cooking it on the wood stove.
While my mother baked bread, I gathered vegetables buried under the snow.
Onions were roasted in the stove and added to the meat with salt and pepper.
Potatoes and greens were mixed in, slowly cooking together.
After feeding the goats and animals, we finally sat together and enjoyed our warm meal while snow continued to fall outside.
This video shows real winter village life — heavy snow, hard work, and simple traditional cooking.
