Sakuraba Isumi is a university student with a baby face and short stature. His speciality is cooking. Due to his baby face, he is mistaken for a minor and almost taken to jail by police officer Amasawa Kyosuke. Isumi shows his ID to him to prove his age and clear up any misunderstandings.
Later, Isumi meets Kyosuke again in front of the convenience store where he works as a part-timer. Kyosuke becomes a regular at the convenience store. Whenever he sees Isumi at the store, he asks for recommendations on what to eat for a midnight snack. They become familiar with each other.
One day, Isumi begins to worry about Kyosuke's eating habits and blurts out, "Shall I go to your home and make you some food?"
