The story follows Ercell Bodden, a former pirate who now lives a quiet life on the island of Cayman Brac with her family, hiding the violent past that once earned her the name “Bloody Mary.” Her peaceful life is shattered when Captain Connor, the ruthless pirate leader she once betrayed, arrives seeking revenge and the stolen gold she took from him years earlier.
As Connor and his men attack the island and capture her husband, Ercell is forced to reveal her secret past and return to the deadly skills she tried to leave behind. She leads her family to a hidden cave network known as “The Bluff,” where she prepares traps and weapons to fight back.
After a failed attempt to exchange the gold for her husband’s freedom results in tragedy, Ercell launches a desperate counterattack against the pirates. With the help of her allies, she eliminates Connor’s crew and ultimately faces him in a final sword duel atop the cliffs of The Bluff, where she defeats him and protects what remains of her family.
The film ends with Ercell surviving the battle and revealing more of her true identity, leaving the possibility that her pirate past may continue to shape her future
