Set in a dystopian near-future Los Angeles, the story follows LAPD detective Chris Raven, who wakes up accused of brutally murdering his wife. Ironically, Raven was one of the strongest supporters of a new justice system called “Mercy,” a controversial court that uses artificial intelligence to determine guilt.
Raven is placed on trial before an AI judge named Maddox, which analyzes digital evidence, surveillance footage, and data records. Under the rules of the system, he has only 90 minutes to prove his innocence before the AI delivers its final verdict.
As the countdown continues, Raven searches through digital evidence and uncovers secrets about his personal life, his relationships, and the circumstances surrounding his wife’s death. The investigation reveals a deeper conspiracy and forces Raven to confront the flaws of the AI justice system he once helped create.
The film builds toward a tense race against time as Raven attempts to expose the truth and stop the AI judge from issuing a fatal sentence, raising questions about technology, surveillance, and whether justice should ever be left to machines.
