Song from the soundtrack of an aborted Colombian film, "El amarre". Composed, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Scott Sadowsky.
This piece goes with a montage sequence in which the protagonist nervously and skittishly attempts to flirt with a man she's seen several times in a restaurant. When she finally gets up the courage to speak to him, his response is crushing.
The song starts with a 12-string acoustic guitar playing sparse chords and bass notes. It's soon joined by a melancholic bandoneón (tango accordion) and then a clarinet that seems to wail in pain. A contrabass then enters, grounding the piece. Drums and hand percussion come in later and gradually build to the transition to the second part, which does not feature in the film (rather fortunately, as it's all-too-happy reggae).

Este tema acompaña una escena de montaje en la cual la protagonista, tímida y nerviosa, intenta coquetear con un hombre en un restaurante. Cuando finalmente se arma de valor y le habla, la respuesta de él la destroza.
La canción comienza con una guitarra acústica de 12 cuerdas que alterna entre bordones y acordes agudos. Después, entra un bandoneón desconsolado y luego, un clarinete que parece a veces aullar de dolor. Un contrabajo pronto se suma, dándole peso al tema. Finalmente, una batería y distintos tipos de percusión de mano producen un lento crescendo que lleva hasta la segunda parte de la pieza, que no figura en la película (menos mal, ya que se trata de un reggae bastante alegre).
