Ok well technically we kicked off the Genshin New Year by saving Hu Tao's life and then falling into a 2 day long coma but semantics.
Also sadly it looks like Mihoyo screwed Natlan over again. I mean this story basically mirrors the Archon Quest only while the Archon Quest had the Archon pull some 500 year long stunt that had so many chances to fail and still killed off tons of people, here in Liyue you have the round table just sipping tea going "Ok so that's taken care of. Let's joke about stuff." Btw I'm pretty sure the banter sounds much more interesting in Chinese. It just sounds weird in English.... I mean maybe it's because I was talking to myself for like 5 scenes but even just the dialogue itself felt awkward. (Thank you Mountain Shaper for helping out with that lol)
I'll go into more detail in the commentary (whenever I get to it because I'll be in my own coma for a while) but for now Hu Tao is 胡桃 where 胡 can mean mischief because of phrases like 胡说八道 _making shit up_ but it is a homophone of butterfly 蝴 because it's literally the same word just with the bug particle. (also technically that's not correct because you'd have to use the words 蝴蝶 for butterfly and if you wanted to trim it down to one word it'd be 蝶.) (also funny because the pinyin for 蝶 is die - it's not pronounced that way though)
Anyway sorry for the delay but at another 266 lines there was no chance of me getting this done sooner. Holy crap I wasn't expecting this. If I had gotten this up with the previous episode we're talking almost 600 lines of dialogue! And that's split up into tons of different characters which btw
