And introducing one more citizen of Liyue. When was the last time we were in Liyue for a major event? I suppose that's a knock against those Liyue favoritism conspiracies. I think we have more events taking us back to Mondstadt than Liyue. I mean seriously Mondstadt City's map is looking more and more crowded.
But it's a little funny. It's like Mihoyo didn't want Liyue to be left out of the new lore. Tao Du's pretty much a more Chinese aesthetic version of the Night Kingdom.... well I guess more like Yohualtecuhtin. It's even a "god" just like our resident "angel." (haha also the Sacred Sakura now that I think about it)
It's also funny they had to come up with a different form of "Abyssal Corruption" so Liyue could have basically the same story: people getting sick from some dark force that signifies pollution to their Night Kingdom thing. Fetor is just the smell of decay.
And meanwhile we don't get a tie-in to Natlan? Come on! It's staring you right in the face!
(Also nothing had better happen to Timaeus or I'll riot! He and Ying'er are such a cute couple!)
