Now of course if you know me you know I don't agree with the straight up idea that Neuvillette is seeking the Archons for judgment. If that had been true he could have already hit up Zhongli last year. So to take a page out of MatPat's handbook, what would an N personality see from Mihoyo's move here? Why bring Zhongli and Neuvillette together again?
I said it before but this patch will end on Zhongli's birthday. And v5.3 therefore starts the day of New Year's, will be the Lantern Rite patch and will end on the Lantern Festival holiday which is the last day of Chinese New Year. Very interesting timing wouldn't you say? I've also had an ongoing theory about how Mavuika relates to Zhongli and isn't it curious that we had a 1 Act filler for the Archon Quest that we've never gotten before? They could have skipped this whole thing. We didn't learn anything new that couldn't have been part of Act V. So why did Mihoyo deliberately push the Archon Quest conclusion forward one patch when they should have known that the patch would be their big Lantern Rite patch? (previously Lantern Rite was a x.4 patch meaning they would have had the extra patch in between to work with unlike this year)
Anyway my faith in Mihoyo's storytelling is shaken. I mean Fontaine. Ouch. But if all of these moves aren't just coincidence (and if they are then wow that'd be dumb) then we should be seeing something big happening soon.
