Yeah quite an odd choice for title right? But you'll agree it's the best title for this interlude after you watch it.
I will say this: it was the shortest Archon Quest we've had in a while lol. I mean I suppose there are hints about what happened but it's almost like Mihoyo deliberately wanted to keep everything a mystery for v5.3 and I think that'll be a mistake. After all I had been saying there's not going to be enough time to get through all the plot holes with just 1 quest to go. This was their chance to soften that blow by resolving some of them but there was nothing.
Admittedly what I had proposed was a long shot. I only decided to bring it up because Natlan had been doing a better job than Fontaine. But now with our first essentially 6 Act Archon Quest I'm getting Fontaine vibes again. If there weren't so many plotholes to address I think the first 4 acts would have been a really good Archon Quest already. All they had to do was not keep saying that Natlan had it the worst. They could have explained away why nobody thought it was weird that Mavuika suddenly popped into existence in Huitztlan. (Seriously just give Kinich the line "We kept her sudden appearance a secret." and it would have been done.) They didn't have to bring up it being weird that the Statue of the Seven looked like Mavuika. I would have been fine if my early prediction for Natlan was just wrong. We didn't have much information going into it anyway so there was every possibility for the story to go in a totally unpredictable direction.
I really hope v5.3 won't disappoint. A bad Archon Quest ending could put a dark cloud over the whole patch and given what v5.3 can be that would be terrible. Fingers crossed guys.
