The first film directed by Rituparno Ghosh. Based on a novel by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay's famous 'Adbhuturay' series, this movie is a new world fantasy fable. The film is about the festival mood of Durga Puja at Ratanlal Babu’s house which is disrupted by the arrival of a stranger, Gandharva Kumar who claims to be the heir to the family property.
