In the 1980s, rich girl Liu Jin falls in love with poor driver Ma Dahai. Despite her father's strong opposition, they marry and have daughter Ma Yiyan. With Liu Jin's support, Ma Dahai becomes successful but then has an affair with Li Ping. Both women get pregnant and give birth to daughters.
