Cue from the score of an aborted independent Colombian film, "El amarre". Composed, arranged, performed, mixed and mastered by Scott Sadowsky. This scene finds our protagonist and her victim back at the park shown at the end of "Exorcismo", still dressed in the white of innocence. They're having an idealized picnic on the same white sheet, but the fantasy elements are now gone, with the only flowers to be seen being artificial: the ones embroidered on her dress. The spell she cast on him is in full effect, unbeknownst to him, and so he is convinced that he has met the love of his life, the perfect woman, the person he has been waiting for all his life without knowing it. She is, of course, thrilled - he is focused only on her, listening to her, validating her and driving away the persistent feelings of emptiness that plague her. The cue for this scene, in 6/8, underscores the fact that this "love" is mere fantasy, induced by a spell, by creating a medieval ambience reminiscent of the cues for the stop motion animation sequences, which occur only in the protagonist's delusional states. This is achieved to a large extent with the use of a harp, a charango (which, as played here, sounds like an upper extension of the harp), a music box and, briefly, a pipe organ. A regal feel is provided by a horn section and a group of oboes, bassoons and cornets. A low strings section comes in halfway through the cue, and a flute and clarinet duo come in at the end to provide some lightness. _____ Tema del score musical de una película independiente colombiana que no prosperó, "El amarre".
