After an alleged appearance from the Virgin Mary, Alice, a youthful hearing-disabled young lady, is mysteriously ready to hear, talk, and recuperate the wiped out. As word spreads and individuals from all over the herd observe her wonders, ashamed columnist expecting to resuscitate his vocation visits the little New England town to research. As strange things begin to happen around him, he begins to wonder if these miracles are the work of the Virgin Mary or something far more sinister. — mysterious.
