Yan Jia and her 7-year-old daughter get into a car accident. She crawls out covered in blood and rushes to her unconscious daughter, only to discover her spirit has left her body. She can see her own body lying unconscious in the car while her daughter is outside. The car is about to catch fire, but she cannot physically save her daughter. In desperation, she throws herself in front of an approaching car to stop it. The driver saves her daughter. Both are taken to the hospital, where Yan Jia's body remains in a deep coma.
