Is HARAJUKU Worth Visiting

Between Shinjuku and Shibuya you find Harajuku. This used to be THE alternative fashion place in Tokyo...until all tourists learned about this place. So I wanted to check it out and see if it's still worth visiting. And of course I also have a look at all the food that's for sale. Crepes of all kinds, and strange rainbow takoyaki and whatnot.
