DiDonato's Spare Change Arcade (Hammonton NJ), new January 2025 arcade tour, ful

DiDonato's Spare Change Arcade is a brand new game center that just recently opened within the past few months in South Jersey! They're a fresh addition to the DiDonato Family Fun Center, a family-owned and operated bowling alley which has been around since 1952. While they previously had a few arcade games throughout the property, they've finally been given their own custom space with new construction off to the left of the building. It looks fantastic in here; fresh, clean, and modern. The games are mostly of the redemption variety, offering a mix of boardwalk arcade style fun all year round. You'll find claw machines, coin pushers, Skee-Ball, hoops, and other ticket-dispensing favorites throughout the building. In addition to that, they also have a number of modern video game machines here, including a pair of VR experiences with Godzilla Kaiju Wars and Spongebob's Bubble Coaster. The latest Fast & Furious game takes up a good portion of the left wall with its gigantic screens and full motion vehicles, and it's right near the fantastical Drakons: Realm Keepers as well. The prize room is well stocked and has a huge variety of prizes of interest for all ages, with everything from plushies to pogo sticks, board games to Xbox, and of course, candy galore! Overall, I had a great time here! I picked up a $20 game card and played for longer than I was expecting to, honestly. Between stuff like Over The Edge, Quick Shot, and SpaceWarp 66, I managed to rack up a decent amount of tickets and came home with some prizes for the kids. The members of the DiDonato family that welcomed me in in with open arms were extremely pleasant, friendly, and very proud of their new arcade, as well as they should be! While I wouldn't mind seeing one or two pinball machines in one of the corners, or maybe a dance game like StepManiaX, I think they've definitely nailed their tone and vibe here and I wish them nothing but the best in continued success with the arcade. I'll definitely be back
