Being banned from a favorite store for three months is a long time in a story. This could lead to a "redemption arc" where the character has to earn back the trust of Mommy and Jill by helping out around the house or showing they can handle responsibilities. The tension over Nioh 3 (which is a very intense, challenging game) creates a great "age-appropriateness" debate. The character might try to prove they are mature enough, or perhaps they find a much more age-appropriate game to focus on instead.
