The Forbidden Kingdom is a fantasy martial arts adventure directed by Rob Minkoff, marking the first on-screen collaboration between Jet Li and Jackie Chan.
The story follows a modern-day American teenager who is magically transported to ancient China after discovering a mystical staff belonging to the legendary Monkey King. In this new world, he joins forces with a drunken master and a silent monk to free the imprisoned Monkey King and restore balance to the kingdom. Along the way, he trains in martial arts, learns courage and discipline, and faces powerful enemies in breathtaking battles.
