SIACHEN Ep 01: India's Secret 2 AM Meeting That Started the Highest War on Earth

At 2 AM, behind locked doors in New Delhi, India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi gathered her Army Chief, RAW chief and top ministers for a meeting even her own staff didn't know about. The plan: open a new front on the Siachen Glacier – the coldest, highest battlefield on Earth. In Episode 01 of our Siachen series, we go inside that secret briefing: Russian pressure, General M. L. Chibber's long-held ambition, Colonel Kumar's chilling report on surviving at 21,000 feet, and an Army Chief who knew the true cost but couldn't say no.
