ECHOES OF MADIUN 2: September Merah
Madiun, East Java. September 2026. A legendary martial brotherhood is fracturing from the inside.
When the organization's five-yearly grand deliberation — the highest governing event in its history — is convened once more, two factions fight for the right to carry the same name. On one side: those who hold institutional control. On the other: the TAUFAN faction, led by Dr. Mahesa Taufan, who believes that legitimacy does not belong to whoever sits at the table — it belongs to whoever built the table.
Rendra Wicaksono, 32, is Taufan's field commander. Not a figurehead. The man who makes things happen at ground level, while the leaders speak. When the city begins to close around them — police barricades sealing Jalan Merak, access to the Padepokan Agung blocked by official order — and when a single government trademark certificate becomes the last legal weapon they have left, Rendra must decide: retreat, or walk straight into a system that has already decided they will lose.
What he does not know is that someone inside his closest circle has been feeding information to the other side. The name has not surfaced. Not yet. Until Wulan, an internal documentarian moving through the crowd, leans close to his ear and whispers something she saw on a phone screen that should not have been visible — a contact name that should not exist.
Echoes of Madiun 2: September Merah is the second season of the thriller drama series Echoes of Madiun. It does not end. It stops — at the worst possible moment — and waits.
