The Miami That Made Vice City Possible

Miami was already becoming Vice City long before the game existed. Behind the neon lights, oceanfront luxury, and tropical glamour was a city shaped by cocaine money, corruption, violence, and a criminal network that changed South Florida forever. This is the hidden story of the real Miami — the city that helped make Vice City possible. From shadowy financial operations to federal investigations, this episode follows the events, places, and atmosphere that turned a real city into one of fiction’s most iconic underworlds. The game was fiction. The city behind it was not. Subscribe to Parallel Files for dark investigations into the real stories behind crime, history, culture, and fiction.
