Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II is an action RPG for the Game Boy Advance that follows the story of Dragon Ball Z from the arrival of Future Trunks through the Android and Cell Sagas. Unlike its predecessor, the game lets players control multiple Z Fighters—including Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, Trunks, and Goku—as they battle powerful enemies, complete side quests, level up their abilities, and unlock transformations such as Super Saiyan. Players explore large 2D environments, learn new attacks, collect capsules to enhance stats, and use a Scouter to analyze enemies. The game combines fast-paced combat with RPG progression, offering a much deeper experience than the original Legacy of Goku.
