We Tested The "Cleanest" Country In The World (7kg of Trash in 1 Hour!)

Switzerland has a global reputation for being the absolute cleanest country on Earth. People picture spotless streets, pristine alpine environments, and perfect order. But is it really 100% true? Sven and I decided to put this massive stereotype to the ultimate test right here in the streets of Naters, Valais. We set a strict 60-minute timer for a massive street cleanup challenge. The rules were simple: We have exactly one hour to collect as much hidden trash as physically possible. Everything we pick up must be straight from the ground (no cheating by taking from bins). The winner gets 10 rappen for every single gram of garbage collected. Armed with grabbers, safety vests, and empty bags, we split up. We expected to find a few pieces of plastic or paper. The reality on the ground was completely different. Within minutes, the bags were getting heavy. We found things that completely break the illusion of a spotless environment. I pulled out heavy metal rods, scrap copper that you can actually sell for 8 Francs per kilo, discarded clothing, and massive chunks of unidentifiable waste hidden right next to regular streets and fields. At one point, we literally had to go back to the car for bigger bags because the original ones were ripping from the sheer weight of the garbage. After the clock ran out, we brought out the digital scale for the final weigh-in. Subtracting our body weight, the final result was shocking: over 7 kilograms of pure trash collected in just one hour by two guys. Is Switzerland clean? Yes. Is it flawless? Definitely not.
