Victory (2024) is a high-energy South Korean musical youth-drama directed by Park Beom-soo. Set in 1999 in the coastal town of Geoje, the film follows two high school best friends, Pil-sun (Lee Hye-ri) and Mi-na (Park Se-wan), who love hip-hop dancing and dream of making it big. When their school takes away their practice space, they hatch a plan: start their high school's very first cheerleading squad to reclaim a room. Teaming up with a transfer student from Seoul who has cheerleading experience, they recruit other quirky classmates to form the 9-member "Millennium Girls". Together, they learn to cheer on their school's constantly losing soccer team—and, in the process, discover friendship, growth, and how to support themselves and their community through tough times.
