**Magic Knight Rayearth – Episode 3 Synopsis** Continuing their quest to become true Magic Knights, Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu set out in search of the legendary metal Escudo, which is needed to forge their weapons. Their journey leads them to the master smith Presea, who explains that Escudo can only be found within a dangerous, living cave that reacts to the fears of those who enter it. Inside the cave, each girl is confronted by illusions born from her own insecurities, forcing them to face their doubts and rely on their growing bond of friendship. By overcoming their fears together, they obtain the Escudo and take another important step toward fulfilling their destiny to rescue Princess Emeraude and restore Cephiro.
