Two Way Stretch (1960)

Classic British comedy. Three villains, "serving time" only have a few days' left of their sentences... and a perfect alibi, to commit a crime on the OUTSIDE...to break out, do the job, break back in and savour the short time for their release. "Dodger" Lane (Peter Sellers), "Jelly" Knight (a play on "Gelignite" as he's a former safe-cracker!) and Lenny "The Dip" ("pickpocket", played by Bernard Cribbins). Aided and abetted by a master crook on the outside and their relatives, it can't go wrong, can it? The Chief Prison Officer, a mild-mannered and placid man is soon to be replaced around the time the lads are due to break out...and THE replacement is only THE most vicious "screw" (Prison chief) known to Dodger!
