Have you ever tried the magical combination of salt + spicy + sour?
Today I’m sharing a simple and traditional Kerala-style recipe called “Nellikka Uppilittathu” — a salted/brined Indian gooseberry (amla) pickle that can be stored for up to one month!
This is my winter special recipe, and I make it every year.
All you need are 4 ingredients: amla, red chilli, salt, and water. That’s it!
While the traditional method keeps the amla and chillies whole, I follow my own quick twist by grinding everything into a smooth, tangy paste.
Perfect to enjoy with warm rice, curd rice, parathas, or as a winter immunity booster.
