Discrete Element Method simulations are used to simulate gas filtration systems. it can track the motion of each particle and calculates the flow properties of the gas, such as pressure drop, velocity, turbulence, etc.
This simulation shows a comparison between a simulation of gas filtration with 94% porosity and 89 % porosity for the same simulation geometry.
