The comic strip detective finds his life vastly complicated when Breathless Mahoney makes advances towards him. Hard-boiled detective Dick Tracy (Warren Beatty) is searching for evidence that proves Alphonse "Big Boy" Caprice is the city's most dangerous crime boss.
